2006-03-01 8:33 a.m. visited the DMB site today and that is what I found on the front page. Last summer I spent two hundred dollars I really didn't have on a hotel room and another almost one hundred dollars on a ticket to get in and countless cash on tolls, gas, and food all to get to West Palm to see this band. And I would do it again in a split second. Really. Of course I am hoping I can get Tampa tickets so I won't have to spend so much money. But really there isn't much I wouldn't do to see this band live. I can't quite explain what it is I love so much about them or how I became so enraptured with a 'jam band' but there it is. Summer Tour! Woot. Anyway...hmm. Today is work free and there are a few things I need to do. For example I'm out of sugar and a girl can't happily have her coffee without sugar so I'll have to go to the store. Plus Walk The Line came out yesterday and I haven't seen it yet so I'm thinking about buying it. Also I really need to clean the apartment, it's in a horrid state. And I kind of would like to curl up on the couch and read for a while. Such is the wild and exciting life of a single gal in Orlando. Oooh and hey. Wal-Mart's hideous insurance plan for its employees is starting to get negative press in the local media. Most of Wal-Mart's employees have to get some sort of public assistance to have their medical needs met. Why is this? Seriously? This company is one of the wealthiest in America. This should not be happening. I dare say Wal-Mart could afford to give their employees decent health care coverage. It's down right disrespectable that they aren't. A lot of people I work with laugh at my views on Wal-Mart but I know they're laughing with a mouthful of healthy teeth covered by our company's reluctant but generous dental coverage. They alsocan go to the doctor affordably with relatively low co-pays and still be able to afford their medications for whatever health concerns ail them. Speaking of medications...I haven't taken my fluoxetine in a couple of days, it might be wise to call in a refill. I pay about a hundred odd dollars every month on meds and that is costly but some of the medications I take run about four hundred each without proper health care coverage. I could go into a rant about the absurdity of that alone but... Sometimes your mind can certainly spin in a million different directions, can't it?
